Enemy Spawning
When coming up with how the enemies should spawn and look like, I thought they should spawn around the player at a distance so avoid unfair spawning ontop of the player. Along with that each enemy that spawns its size and speed is randomly set so all enemies are just a tiny (or large) bit different from each other.
As the game goes on a hidden threat meter keeps track of how long the player has been alive for and the chance for enemies to spawn on each tick goes up with this threat meter to make the game ramp in difficulty.
When thinking of the base gameplay I wanted the controls to be very simple and easy to pick up, so I decided on a simple two attacks. One normal shot and a devastating shock-wave if you charge up your shot long enough.
